Faith Formation Registration 2025/2026

Hello and welcome as we prepare for 2025-26 CCD and Confirmation classes!

This year we are introducing online registration and payment to make the process easier for parents. Instructions are below.

If you prefer to complete a paper registration form, email or call Bob Liekar (contact info below).  

Note: Even if you submit a paper form, you and your child's information will be recorded in Flocknote.

All students must be registered, whether online or with a paper form.

• This year's confirmation class will include BOTH 8th and 9th graders!  After this year we will be returning to the traditional confirmation class of 8th grade.

• Please note that Home Schooling is a limited option for Confirmation candidates.  Parents must email Bob Liekar to request permission.

• All grades, K-7, plus the Confirmation Class, should use the same CCD registration link below.

Important Dates and Times

• Orientation for Parents and Students: 9/14/2025

• First class for students:  9/21/2025

• Class time for K-7  is Sunday morning, 9:00 - 10:30am.*

• Confirmation class times:*

  • Sunday morning:  9:00 - 10:30 AM (meets weekly)

  • Sunday evening:  6:00 - 8:00 PM (meets twice monthly)

  • Monday evening:  6:00 - 8:00 PM (meets twice monthly)

  • Monday evening home school check-in:  6:00 - 7:30 PM (meets once monthly)

*Times are subject to change.

Cost

This year, there will be a registration fee requested for all students to cover the costs of providing course materials and maintenance of the school.  

Registration fees are as follows:

• Parishioners:

  • 1 child: $30

  • 2 children: $50 (total fee, not per child)

  • 3 or more children: $60 (total fee, not per child)

• Non-Parishioners:  

  • $100 (flat fee for 1 or more children)

Instructions for Users to Register

Online registration is a simple 3-step process:

Step 1

1. Register yourself and your children in Flocknote.

   1. This basically sets up an account for you in Flocknote.

   2. If you have previously registered in Flocknote, you should skip this step.  Go to Step 2 and login to Flocknote with your email or mobile #.

   3. When you register yourself, be sure to add your children as dependents related to you.

   4. This is an important step since this is where you will enter basic information about yourself and your children.  Enter yourself first and then add your children as part of your household!

   5. Step d. is important because it will identify you as the Proxy Contact for your child.  If you have questions about this please contact Bob Liekar or visit Proxy Contact.

Step 2

2. Complete the CCD Registration form.  (See "Flocknote CCD Instructions" below for more details.)

• Notes -

  • When you first click on the link you will "login" with your name, phone and email.

  • You will then be asked something like, "Are you registering yourself or another.

  • Do not register yourself.  If your child is listed, simply select them.

  • If you child is not listed, Select "Other" and enter your child's info (email and phone are not necessary).

  • "Attendance Preference" is not listed for Confirmation Class students.  Instead, after registering your child, go to this link to select a time slot:  Confirmation Time Slot

Step 3

3. Make the requested payment if you are able.  No one will be turned away if they are unable to pay the requested amount.  No explanation is necessary.

   1. Online using Square:

         • you will see a charge from "SQ*OSCAR ROMERO PARIS" on your card / account

   2. By Check:

      1. Make checks payable to "St. Oscar Romero Parish"

      2. Please write "Religious Education 2025-2026" in the memo line.

      3. Mail your check to:

Flocknote Registration Instructions

We are using Flocknote to register our students this year as well as to maintain contact information for our students and parents.

• Register yourself and your child(ren) in Flocknote.  If you've done this already, no need to repeat.  Do not register your kids separately; you will be able to enter them as associated with your account when you register.

• You do not need to enter email or phone numbers for your children - communication will be with parents.

• Follow the CCD registration link above and select the grade your child will be attending in September, 2025.

• Click on each grade your children are in if registering more than one.

• You will be able to register more than one child per grade if needed.
  
  

Most of the fields are self explanatory but here are some notes to help.

1. Attendance Option - For K-7 only.  In this dropdown you can choose the Sunday morning class time at St. Patrick or Home Schooling.  Confirmation Class see instructions above.

2. Baptism Date

   1. If you do not remember the exact Baptism date, enter 1/1/20xx, where xx is the year your child was baptized.

   2. If you leave this field empty we will assume your child has not been baptized.

3. First Holy Communion Date

   1. If you do not remember the exact First Communion date, enter 1/1/20xx, where xx is the year your child first received.

   2. If you leave this field empty we will assume your child has not had their First Holy Communion.
